It's going to be even more important this year to have access to the most updated calendar for school activities. The Clarke Activities Department uses something called rSchool for scheduling. The hard copy of athletic schedules is only accurate the minute they were printed.
We are strongly encouraging you to use our web-based system to be able to have access at your fingertips to the most updated calendar. When events change, I change it within rSchool and it updates the calendar automatically.

The Clarke school board has voted to delay the first day of school to Thursday, August 27th.
Looking forward to seeing students at the Elementary Drive-By Open House TONIGHT from 4:00-5:00 (K-2nd grade) and 5:00-6:00 (3rd-5th grade)!
Elementary nurse, Mrs. Miller, will be available outside the new elementary main entrance (entrance 12) tomorrow during Drive-By Open House (4:00-6:00). Parents may drop off prescriptions, doctor's orders/notes, immunization records, and/or health screenings.
The first day of school is Monday, August 24th with a 2-hour early dismissal.

Due to Covid safety, visitors will not be allowed in Clarke school buildings, and parents will only be allowed as far as each school’s main office. Thank you for your cooperation.
Reminder: The school food pantry will be handing out groceries curbside today from 4-5. Any family in the district is able to pick up groceries. Food will be pre-bagged and ready for pick up, at the Central Office parking lot.
Apologies! The MS orientation is still cancelled. The message sent out a few minutes ago was pre-scheduled and had not been deleted. We are sorry for any inconvenience or confusion.
Due to COVID-19 safety concerns, the freshman orientation, MS orientation, and all in-building open houses have been cancelled. The elementary drive up open house is still happening on Wednesday, August 19th.

Reminder: The Clarke Food Pantry will be open today from 4-5 for curbside service. All Clarke Schools families are welcome.
HS Sports practices begin today at 4. Make sure to register online and have an updated physical. MS practices will start 8/24. 6th Graders are not eligible to participate in MS sports.
We would like to clarify confusion that exists about registering for school. Every student who plans to attend Clarke, either in-person or via our distance learning option, will need to register through the Parent Portal account. Families choosing the distance learning option will need to notify their building principals no later than August 17th.
Families electing to utilize the distance learning option, will be provided a Clarke district device where they can view daily lessons and activities provided by Clarke certified teachers.
Families electing to do private homeschool instruction (either CPI or IPI) can request the paperwork through Lindsay Rains, at 641-342-9574 or lrains@clarke.k12.ia.us.
