🎉🇺🇸 Exciting things happening in Mrs. Bucklin's government class! 🇺🇸🎉 As a culmination of their semester's learning, students put their knowledge into action by running for President! 🗳️ Each candidate delivered a presidential speech, sharing their vision and ideas. Students from other classes joined in to listen and cast their votes for the leader they believed in. The stakes? The winner of each class period’s election gets the ultimate prize: planning class for a day! 👏 ----- 🎉🇺🇸 ¡Cosas emocionantes están sucediendo en la clase de gobierno de la Sra. Bucklin! 🇺🇸🎉 Como culminación de su aprendizaje del semestre, los estudiantes pusieron en práctica sus conocimientos ¡postulándose para Presidente! 🗳️ Cada candidato presentó un discurso presidencial, compartiendo su visión e ideas. Estudiantes de otras clases se unieron para escuchar y votar por el líder en quien creían. ¿El premio? ¡El ganador de las elecciones presidenciales de cada período de clase tendrá el privilegio de planificar la clase por un día! 👏

Gentlemen on and off the mat! Last Friday, the CCHS boys wrestling team brought the energy and positivity to the elementary school for Fist Bump Friday! 👊 These role models showed what it means to be leaders, both in competition and in our community. 🎶✨ What a magical evening! Thursday’s choir concert showcased the incredible talents of our 6th-12th grade choirs. The students sounded absolutely beautiful, with their harmonies leaving the audience in awe. There was even a surprise visit from The Grinch to bring some extra holiday cheer! 🎄💚 The night concluded with a breathtaking candlelight performance that left the auditorium silent in admiration. 🌟 A huge shoutout to our amazing students for their hard work and dedication, and to Ms. Owens and Mrs. Pohlmann for their outstanding leadership in creating such a memorable program. We couldn’t be prouder! ❤️🎤

Our Boys and Girls Bowling teams took on Centerville last Thursday and came out on top with BIG WINS! 💪🎉 Both teams played incredibly well—way to represent Clarke with pride and skill! ----- 🎳🔥 ¡Nuestros equipos de boliche masculino y femenino se enfrentaron a Centerville el jueves pasado y lograron GRANDES VICTORIAS! 💪🎉 Ambos equipos jugaron increíblemente bien—¡qué manera de representar a Clarke con orgullo y talento!

❄️🏀 Last week, we had an amazing time at our Winter Sports Kick-Off! Each fall activity was recognized, and we celebrated with some super fun games. 🎉 🎶 Musical Chairs was a blast, and Girls Basketball claimed the victory! 🏆 Meanwhile, the Seniors showed off their creativity and won the "Dress a Teacher as a Snowman" contest! ⛄👏 We're wishing ALL our winter sports teams the best of luck this season—go out there and make us proud! ----- ❄️🏀 ¡La semana pasada tuvimos un gran evento con nuestro Inicio de Temporada de Deportes de Invierno! Students also got to dive into hands-on breakout sessions focused on interview etiquette, resume building, scholarship opportunities, and even collegiate athletics, equipping them with real-world skills and insights. Our students are diving into the world of dissection prep with a unique twist—the "Pickle Autopsy"! 🥒 Today, they rolled up their sleeves and got hands-on experience examining their "patients," complete with some "injuries" to investigate. Using impressive academic language and scientific skills, students analyzed their findings and put their learning to work in this engaging, interactive activity. 🧑‍🔬👩‍🔬 It's incredible to see them applying what they've learned in such a fun and meaningful way. Great job, future scientists! Clarke High School will be hosting its annual College & Career Fair on Wednesday, Nov. 13. Grades will rotate throughout the morning between exploring the exhibitor fair and attending information sessions providing advice for college and career readiness. 8th grade students will also have the opportunity to talk to colleges and local businesses about future careers in the afternoon.
